This program for managing Stress, Anxiety and Depression (S-AD) is based around a new concept of Shared Medical Appointments (SMAs), where you receive education in a group with fellow patients who want to better control over Stress, Anxiety and Depression in their lives, as well as an individual medical consultation with a doctor where everyone can listen and contribute to each other’s needs. It’s designed to utilise the benefits of peer support as well as medical advice and prescription. Included in this facilitator learning package are the participant resources. Explore these and familiarise yourself with what the participants will see. Note the places in each session where you might pause the participant video to facilitate discussion and activities.
On completion of all information components of this Facilitator Training Program there is a quiz that you may find useful to measure your learning outcomes. A pass in this quiz will be required to be issued a statement of attainment.
